We will have the next in our series of CI Brownbag talks this Friday (June
15th) @ 2pm EST.  The speaker will be Pete Siemsen from Front Range GigaPoP
and he will be talking about the Implementation of BCP 38 at FRGP.  This
talk will describe the real-world deployment of unicast Reverse-Path
Forwarding checks on Juniper routers. This method can be used by ISPs to
identify and/or block spoofed packets generated by their customers. The
talk will cover

1. What spoofing is
2. How BCP38 suggests that we use filters to combat spoofing
3. Why doing it with manual router filters is tedious
4. How uRPF helps automate the filters
5. Juniper's implementation of uRPF
6. How we presented the idea to our customers
7. How we slowly deployed uRPF while keeping customers comfortable
8. Gotchas
