We will have the next in our series of CI Brownbag talks this Friday
(January 26th) @ 2pm EST. The speaker will be Michael Sinatra from ESnet,
and he will be giving an overview of Cryptography. Here is a quick
abstract:
"This talk presents a foundational overview of major crypto concepts as
used in Networking protocols such as SSH, TLS, DNSSEC, PGP, and other
encryption and digital-signature applications. The goal is to provide
networking folks what they need to know about the cryptographic
mechanisms that underlie many of our protocols. It is loosely styled
after a Richard A. Steenbergen (RAS) tutorial, although I don't claim to
be nearly as good (or entertaining) as RAS."
