FYI... if anyone has an interest. This workshop is very useful if moving
large data sets or working closely with the research community. --Joe

ESnet, Indiana University International Networking, and Pacific Northwest
National Laboratory are hosting a High Performance Networking workshop in
Richland Washington on October 16-17. The event is designed to help lab and
campus network engineers deploy next-gen research networks that can
effectively support data-intensive science.

The workshop will consist of 2-days of presentation material along with
“hands-on” exercises for building and deploying *Science DMZs, Software
Defined Networks, perfSONAR, and Data Transfer Nodes*. By the end of the
event, attendees will have a better understanding of the requirements
for supporting scientific use of the network, architectural strategies that
can simplify these interactions, and knowledge of tools that can mitigate
problems users may encounter.

*Limited spots remain for this workshop, and travel grants are not
available. *
