deployment in higher education. The very successful SURA ViDe Digital
Video conference is attended by vendors, IT, librarians and researchers
doing cutting edge research or innovative strategies to deploy digital
video, collaboration and communications technologies and multimedia in
an educational or research setting.*
*SURA ViDes' 2007 conference will bring together innovators in higher
education, telemedicine and K12 to focus on converged collaboration,
conferencing, voice and media on campus, in the networked, web and
mobile environments, with an emphasis on both success stories and
caveats in merging all the technologies into an integrated, seamless and
ubiquitous information ecosystem.*
Keynote speaker Monday evening, March 26, is:
Laurence F. Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of the New Media
Consortium,Austin, Texas, an international consortium of more than 200
universities,colleges, museums, research centers, and technology
companies dedicated to using new technologies to inspire, energize,
stimulate, and support learning and creative expression.
The ViDe 2007 Conference is soliciting presentations on cutting edge
strategies for converging media: videoconferencing, streaming video,
Voice over IP, collaboration technologies, and new media applications in
higher education, K12, medicine and research. Presentations on any
technologies, innovative practices or important issues with digital
video and converging communication technologies are welcomed, but
particularly in the following areas:

* Communications Technologies/Digital Video in Higher Education
* Communications Technologies/Digital Video in Medicine and Research

Please submit a short abstract (one paragraph to one page) at the
conference submission website: http://www.easychair.org/ViDe2007/
Presentation dates are Tuesday, March 27 and Wednesday, March 28. Please
indicate in your abstract whether or not you will be presenting on-site
or remotely, via videoconferencing.
