Dear NASAFACS Members,
As an individual committed to recruiting future family and consumer sciences educators, your support of family and consumer sciences education through our #SayYestoFCS social media campaign is vital. If you have participated previously, thank you for taking action!
If you have not yet participated, we invite you to review our national 12-month “Say Yes to FCS” social media campaign<http://aafcs.us1.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=bee11993ef54296c205934b97&id=1dc929c154&e=cYIQbY9GaG>! The social media campaign, “Making a Difference Through Family & Consumer Sciences,” highlights a different aspect of family and consumer sciences education each month, all focused on recognizing the importance of family and consumer sciences educators and programs. We want to engage family and consumer sciences professionals, advocates, and ESPECIALLY program participants for them to then reach out to their respective social media networks…therefore reaching prospective family and consumer sciences educators! Please pass this announcement along to appropriate contacts in your state as well as becoming engaged in the social media campaign yourself.
This month’s theme and some sample strategies are:
* December 3-10 – Strengthening Families & Communities

* [https://gallery.mailchimp.com/bee11993ef54296c205934b97/images/be161cf5-740e-4b99-84de-f8a91d955b50.jpg] Implement and share the special “Dining In" for Healthy Families project or other activities promoting the value of family/group mealtime in strengthening families and communities.
* Share photos or videos illustrating service learning projects or other efforts implemented through family and consumer sciences education programming and positively impacting families and communities.
* Use #FCSday and #healthyfamselfie in addition to #SayYestoFCS when appropriate.
