*¡Buenas Tardes!*

I just came across some great and valuable tips from Brodart about
selecting Spanish-language materials. If you buy books in Spanish, you
really should read *THIS SHORT ARTICLE*

Also, remember that from *America Reads Spanish **Essential Guide to
Spanish Reading
you can download very good collection development tools, including:

   - The Core Spanish Collection for Children and Young Adults 2011
   - Librarian's 500 Top Picks: The Core Spanish Collection 2006
   - The New Essential Guide to Spanish Reading (2012)

Finally, don't forget to include some culturally authentic literature
<https://heritage.utah.gov/library/cal> in your library. The good folks at *Lee
& Low Books* have compiled awesome collections of *Latino Children's Books
<https://www.leeandlow.com/cultures/latino-interest>* in English, Spanish,
and bilingual formats. Check them out!
