Are these available to schools who don’t use Overdrive?
Thanks!

Minnie, you bring up a good point. SYNC does give you materials to promote this program with your teens but you don’t have to do that. I definitely share the information with my language arts teachers. I am in a high school.

I primarily use these summer reads to guide my purchasing decisions for my library or develop reader’s advisory ideas. Listening to them is a great way to preview the books.

Just a note - You are not allowed to put these audio files in your library (burn them to a CD). And if you miss a week, the pairing is no longer available.

Sincerely,
Sarah Herron

Be aware that some of them are really for adults. Last year some had on page sex and subject matter definitely not for younger students.

I LOVE this program! I have done it for the past 5 years and have even downloaded the books while on vacation (Can you say obsessed?!) Sometimes they pair a young adult with a classic and sometimes each week has a theme between the two books. It is a great way to stay on top of YA literature.

Please share this with you students and teachers<http://blogs.overdrive.com/front-page-library-news/2017/04/26/sync/>, the books are geared towards teens, and anyone can download as long as they have the app.
