"I really didn't realize the librarians were, you know, such a dangerous group. They are subversive. You think they're just sitting there at the desk, all quiet and everything. They're like plotting the revolution, man. I wouldn't mess with them."
Michael Moore

At the bottom of a Khan Academy topic page there is a license link that indicates what you are allowed to do with the content on that page.

For example, this Intro to Cellular Respiration<https://www.khanacademy.org/science/biology/cellular-respiration-and-fermentation/intro-to-cellular-respiration/v/adenosine-triphosphate> page has a "Creative Commons Attribution/Non-Commercial/Share-Alike<http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0>" license, which means that the content can be copied or adapted for noncommercial purposes. In that case he could copy all of it for classroom use. It's possible other topic pages might have different licensing, he'd just need to double-check the licensing at the bottom of the page from which he's copying to be safe.

Another source for open, remix-able textbook content you might want to show him is CK-12: http://www.ck12.org/biology/

I have a teacher asking how much of Kahn Academy text outlining topics in Biology he can copy and still stay within copyright. He is planning on citing it of course.
