[Library Media] Letters About Literature

Letters About Literature is an annual national reading-writing contest for
students in grades 4-12. To enter, readers write a personal letter to an
author (living or dead), stating how reading his or her work changed the
reader or the reader’s view of the world.

Attached is this year's *Letters About Literature* guidelines and entry
form. You can also access the information at https://heritage.utah.gov/
library/letters-about-literature and  http://read.gov/letters/

*Level 3:* Grades 9-12 – no less than 600 words and no more than 1500 words
Postmarked by: December 2, 2016

*Level 2:* Grades 7-8 – no less than 300 words and no more than 1000 words
Postmarked by: January 9, 2017

*Level 1:* Grades 4-6 – no less than 100 words and no more than 500 words
Postmarked by: January 9, 2017
