Want to have fun this summer *between June 20 and July 20*? Yes? Then
volunteer to be a grant reviewer for the Utah State Library.

Being a reviewer means that you'd be volunteering about 3 to 5 hours of
your time. We will provide training beforehand on what to expect and
guidance for how to score the grant applications. Depending on which
grants committee
you are on, you would read over 5 to 10 applications and electronically
score each application based on a score sheet provided.

There are also one or two conference calls/meetings where all the reviewers and
the committee leader go over the applications together and decide as a
group whether or not each grant should be recommended for funding.

It's a pretty fun process and don't worry if you are a newbie. Being a
reviewer is a great way to learn about the grants process from the inside.

*If you are interested, please contact Grants Coordinator, Telesa Nicholes
tnicholes at utah.gov <tnicholes at utah.gov> by June 6.*
Thanks.
