For those of you living near Price UT or like to get off the lot:

The Utah Library Association's Fall Workshop is just around the corner,
September 19th at the College of Eastern Utah in Price, Utah. Come join
us for a fun and informative
day.  The program will include:

·        Storytime: Not Just for Kids Anymore - Ideas for parents and
caregivers to nurture language and literacy development in children,
sponsored by Utah Kids Ready to Read!

·        Your Library Has a Story to Tell . . . Is Anyone Listening -
to creatively market your library services with limited resources.

·        Pushing the Boundaries with Pioneer: Utah’s Online Library
What’s new for you and your patrons; an overview of the Pioneer
and their top ten uses in libraries.

·        Trends in Young Adult Literature and How to Keep Up - Harry
Potter, Twilight . . . now what?  Learn how to keep up with young
literature and buy the books teens want.

·        To Click or Not to Click?  How to blend paper and electronic
resources for the best reference collection value.

·        MedlinePlus - Information on consumer health; ways to help
patrons find the medical information they need.

A special treat will be our luncheon speaker.  Sue Ann Martell,
of the Western Mining & Railroad Museum in Helper, Utah will speak
“Carbon County: The Wild and Woolly, Historically Accurate and Mostly
Tale of the County’s Past.”
