[library-media] Podcasting

Librarians, please remember that our agreements for eMedia programs
allow only UEN to be the distributer. Schools (and libraries) are not
provided redistribution rights. In other words, individual educators or
school library-media specialists are allowed to download programs from
UEN's secure service. Your school cannot host and store the programs on
a separate server and allow teachers to download from that server.

Please let me know if you have questions.

Bret and List service:

Did you attend the ULMS April Workshop? Robert Gordon's presentation on
Podcasting in the school was full of great ideas. I came away with the
opinion that Apple TV would be a better purchase for a media center if I
planned to collect educational podcasts and emedia. It is larger and
more durable and connects easily to a TV or projector. Anybody else out
there using this equipment in a library? I too plan to make some
purchases and thought I would just start with a good microphone.

I need to come up with a proposal in order to purchase an ipod for use
as a collaboration tool with teachers. I plan on getting e-media and
podcasts teachers can use in their curriculum. Any ideas on getting
administrator buy-in?
