Subject: Science reference website

Dear Ms. Loutensock,=20

I was hoping you could help me make a connection with
elementary school librarians in Utah. I have developed a science
reference website based on the national guidelines for elementary
science curriculum. It is free to the schools (funded by grants and
sponsors), but reaching librarians to let them know about it has proved
difficult!

www.exploringnature.org <http://www.exploringnature.org/> has a k-8th
grade database that includes more than 1,000 animals in topics ranging
from mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and insects to scavengers,
carnivores, arctic animals, poisonous animals, rainforest animals, etc.
There is a database for biomes, human anatomy, trees, wildflowers,
famous scientists, animal movies, and much more. The teacher section
includes lesson plans, activities, and mini-lectures on topics like;
habitat studies, erosion, classification, food webs and life cycles.

Teachers and students can email animals or concepts they wish to see and
we develop and add the information weekly. We have be awarded the
EDITOR'S CHOICE Award from the Awesome Library, an online resource
evaluation site.

A link to your district website would help get the website onto search
engines and make it more accessible to the schools, educators and
students it would benefit most.

Thank you for your help with this.
