[library-media] LSTA Grant Writing Workshop to be held in Cedar City on Thursday, Jan. 18.

The Utah State Library is pleased to announce that the basic LSTA Grant =
Writing Workshop being offered in Salt Lake City on Thursday, January 11, =
2007 will be duplicated on Thursday, January 18 at the Cedar City Library =
from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Topics to be covered include:

---Library certification requirements
---Overview of LSTA
---Planning and budgeting
---Outcome Based Evaluation (OBE)
---Types of Grants available
---Changes in forms
---Grant process, deadlines, etc.

The workshop is open to all library staff from public libraries, school =
library media centers, academic and special libraries. First time grant =
writers are encouraged to attend to learn helpful hints to reduce their =
fear of grant writing.

There is not cost to attend. Mileage will be reimbursed and snacks will be =
provided.

Please note, in the event that the weather is horrible, the alternate date =
for this workshop is Tuesday, January 23. Same time, same location.
