Welcome back to school!
I hope that your summer was a restful one full of lemonade on the beach and afternoon naps in the shade. Okay, honestly, if it was anything like mine it was probably filled with running kids here and there, a few little family getaways, an awesome trip to Anaheim for Hosa Nationals, buying a house and moving, and trying to survive on nowhere near enough sleep. I do hope that this email finds you well and jumping into the new school year. Some of you are already a week or so into the school year, others are starting up this week, but wherever you fall on this spectrum may your students be perfect and their parents even better ;)
All of the curriculum CDs that were requested were put in the mail last week and should have made their way to your schools by now. We are currently in the process of finding a way to store the information and distribute what has been sent out on CDs in the past electronically. So many computers don't even have CD drives, so we are trying to get away from this "antiquated" technology. In the meantime, if you need anything from me please don't hesitate to let me know.
A few years ago Brian Blake created an online MAP textbook which aligns with our standards and objectives, this can be found at: http://www.ck12.org/user:brianblake/book/Medical-Anatomy-Physiology-Utah-State-Core/ (you may need to log in.) This is a great resource for those that do not have textbooks.
Congratulations to Andrea McNeil from South Summit High School on being named as the Summit County Emergency Medical Technician of the year. It is always great to hear about the successes and accolades of the Health Science Teachers of Utah! http://www.parkrecord.com/ci_28662266/first-responders-honored-heroes-park-city
Have a wonderful week (and hang in there, Labor Day is 2 weeks away!)
