I just wanted to recap the discussion from summer conference on Intro to EMS/Emergency Medical Responder:
This past year, American Red Cross changed their Emergency Medical Services (EMS) course to Emergency Medical Responder (EMR). Because of the confusion of the new curriculum and the new way to input students into the Saba system (American Red Cross), I am being a little lenient with test funding for this year only. This upcoming year 2012-13, teachers will need to teach the American Red Cross EMR curriculum and input all results into Saba. The only course I will give funding for is the EMR course. All other submissions will be rejected. On the same note, there are four areas that students are tested on in the EMR course. Students will need to be "successful" in all four areas to receive funding.
I have put in a course name change for the current Intro to EMS course. It will take a year to process. The course will have an official name change to Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) for the 2013-14 school year.
Please let me know if I left something out. Please let me know if you have any questions at all!
Thanks and have a great summer!
