Two important GIS activities are coming in the near future.

UGIC Conference

The Utah Geographic Information Council, UGIC for short, is having
their annual conference in St. George on September 27 through 29.
Conference registration is $185.00 for the complete conference.  You can
register at http://www.ugic.info/UGIC2004/index.html

HOWEVER, there will be a special training session held on Tuesday the =20=

28, just for educators.
  This session will include the following:

7:30 - 8:00 AM               Registration
8:00 - 9:30 AM               Basic ArcView
9:30 - 10:00 AM             Break in Vendor Exhibit area (coffee, tea, =20=

juice, snack)
10:00 AM - 2:30 PM      Using GPS (Hands On) working lunch provided
2:30 -  3:00 PM              Break in Vendor Exhibit area (soda and =20
snack)
3:00 - 4:30 PM               Basic ArcGIS
4:30 - 5:00 PM               Discussion with UGIC Mentors
5:30 - 8:00 PM              Conference Social, Dinner and Entertainment =20=

provided


You can attend the whole day for only $25!! Lunch & Dinner Included!!

GIS Day is quickly approaching.=A0 There are more than 2,000,000 GIS=A0 =20=

users in the world, but most of the public is unaware of this =20
technology and how it=A0 affects their lives. GIS Day is a great =20
opportunity for GIS Professionsals in your community to share their =20
work with your students. We would like to encourage you to invite a =20
local GIS professional to come speak to your students on Nov 17th.=A0=A0 =
