[CSD Math MS] Teacher Salary Supplement Program - 2019 Application Window

Royce just let me know that the letter USBE sent out regarding the TSSP grant is incorrect.

In the letter it states that the application is at tssp at schools.utah.gov<mailto:tssp at schools.utah.gov>. This is incorrect, the application is actually at tssp.schools.utah.gov.

Thanks

Allison

Subject: Teacher Salary Supplement Program - 2019 Application Window

Superintendents, HR, and Charter Directors,

The Teacher Salary Supplement Program will be open for application submission effective October 1, 2018 through April 30, 2019. Please help us notify the educators in your LEA who may qualify for the program. The attached TSSP Invitation 2019 has been provided to you to use as a resource or to share with your classroom educators who currently work in the areas of:

  *   Secondary Mathematics
  * Physics, Chemistry, Physical Science, Integrated Science
  *   Computer Science
  *   Special Education
  * and/or educators who hold a current National Board for Professional Teacher Standards certification during the 2018-2019 program year.

Program details including legislative requirements can be reviewed at https://schools.utah.gov/curr/licensing/tssp<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__schools.utah.gov_curr_licensing_tssp&d=DwMFAg&c=fGrSkuu3YyS91PacIZP0XfO0GRH7JgL5znLEO6-CQG0&r=-c5sI-I8g5rwTKq7Q6Pnbg1dxu8VT0PNrZNJ6SRcTWY&m=g0_M5MwF0XlX1MBZSoIH8NoAV0Zmsn2aNNFW8tBCUbA&s=CFA0V5ME3ljiuNvgflSN8LCZ-11d1Y_UJ6DFS2uZJzY&e=> under the Program, National Board for Professional Teaching Standard and Resources tabs. Please encourage your educators to review this site prior to submitting their application on the TSSP Service Site<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__tssp.schools.utah.gov_&d=DwMFAg&c=fGrSkuu3YyS91PacIZP0XfO0GRH7JgL5znLEO6-CQG0&r=-c5sI-I8g5rwTKq7Q6Pnbg1dxu8VT0PNrZNJ6SRcTWY&m=g0_M5MwF0XlX1MBZSoIH8NoAV0Zmsn2aNNFW8tBCUbA&s=2SiKtW-HY8Y8wEsaP3QlytB__a85cbL-qO3U8x1l-yA&e=>.

This year’s new legislation welcomes our valued educators in the Special Education field. As with any change to legislation, we are asking for a close review of each educator’s CACTUS data to verify the accuracy of:

  *   Assignments
  * Assignment percentages (must total 100%)
  *   Full-Time-Equivalency (FTE)
  *   Posted degrees.

Any data errors not corrected will affect the accuracy or eligibility of your teachers and may cause a delay in funding.

Participating educators will be directed to contact their Human Resources or CACTUS Administrator to report any data corrections needed. Any change to CACTUS will automatically update in the TSSP Service Site and be visible in the educator’s application.

The TSSP legislation still requires that teachers hold a degree with a major that matches the participating subject area to be eligible for the bonus. All corrections/updates for degrees must be submitted with original transcripts to the USBE. Please be sure that your team or teachers follow the Transcript Submission Policy found on the USBE website https://schools.utah.gov/curr/licensing/additionalprocesses<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__schools.utah.gov_curr_licensing_additionalprocesses&d=DwMFAg&c=fGrSkuu3YyS91PacIZP0XfO0GRH7JgL5znLEO6-CQG0&r=-c5sI-I8g5rwTKq7Q6Pnbg1dxu8VT0PNrZNJ6SRcTWY&m=g0_M5MwF0XlX1MBZSoIH8NoAV0Zmsn2aNNFW8tBCUbA&s=Bd6m5QiPRNFz9oIz-lPnwuzSiiraYTZD7XkbSlXvAwE&e=>.

If your LEA has had any change in the TSSP administration or approval/review responsibility, please notify the TSSP Program Specialist as soon as possible so that account access can be granted to the appropriate individuals.

We greatly appreciate your ongoing support of our valued educators for the 2019 Teacher Salary Supplement Program year. If you or your educators have any questions not addressed on the website, please contact the TSSP Program Specialist, Jane Conway at tssp at schools.utah.gov<mailto:tssp at schools.utah.gov> or directly to 801-538-7580.
