Secondary Math Teachers,

In order to support the shift in mathematics instruction endorsed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), Canyons School District is proposing the adoption of two curriculums: Illustrative Mathematics at the middle schools and Mathematics Vision Project at the high schools.  Both of these curricula support task-based learning and provide teachers the resources needed to implement the NCTM teaching strategies outlined in NCTM?s ?Principles to Actions? and Utah mathematics standards.

Superintendent Briscoe and the Canyons Board of Education, is seeking your input to learn more about current resources in place and the supports needed for implementing the proposed curricula.
