Good afternoon Math Teachers!
Just wanted to check in to see how the year is going. I hope everyone had a GREAT first quarter (IHMS will be ending their quarter in a few weeks, good luck to IHMS!). Please know that if you have any questions about the upcoming implementation of the new math core, don’t hesitate to call or email either Michelle or I. We know its a big change and change is hard. We are here to support you and to help you in anyway we can. We have been to numerous state meetings about the new math common core and have the latest and greatest updates. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We will be more than happy to come out and informally meet with you to answer any questions that you may have. Remember, this is a statewide initiative, not just a “Canyons thing”. :)
Also, we purchased a set of clickers for each middle school MATH DEPARTMENT. Some of you may have already received them if a representative from your school attended the technology sessions in October. If you DID NOT receive your clickers, your EBL specialist will be bringing them out this Friday (11/05) during late start time. Please don’t forget to get them checked in and inventoried.
Albion – Delivered to school on 10/12
Butler – Allan will be delivering Tuesday 11/02
Eastmont – Deb will be bringing out Friday 11/05
Midvale – given to Mindy Robison on 10/13
Indian Hills – given to Heidi Keefer on 10/13
Crescent View – given to Dena Etcher on 10/27
Mt. Jordan – Laura will be bringing out on Friday 11/05
Union – given to Steve Phelps on 10/13
One more thing, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all of your hard work and efforts. Please know that Michelle and I appreciate all of the time and energy you put into teaching and making a difference for the students.
