Fellow administrators,

Below is information for the Utah Systems Conference designed for school administrators (there is also a separate MTSS strand for teachers and other educators). The conference is June 18 and 19 and has been carefully designed with your needs in mind:

· Welcome address given by the Utah State Board of Education Superintendent, Dr. Sydnee Dickson.

· Keynote: Salome Thomas-El<http://www.principalel.com/> (Award winning Principal, Author and Speaker)

Plenary sessions presented by administrators will focus on identified needs of Principals, including:

·         Systems Alignment (prioritizing initiatives and reducing the ‘noise’ that distracts us from our priorities);

·         Equitable Access (ensuring every student has access to grade level content and strategies to increase effectiveness at all levels);

· Collective Efficacy (ideas to improve structures and collaboration within your building).

There will be a variety of breakout sessions as well. Some of these sessions highlight the following:

· Overview of Utah Educator Leadership Standards

·         Recruitment and retention

·         STEM Academy for Administrators

·         Literacy Institute for Administrators

·         And more!
