Greetings,

The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST)<https://paemst.us17.list-manage.com/track/click?u=6880153236f96abb2f9e1d566&id=419866572c&e=a0005d2d89>, program recognizes the importance of honoring excellent teaching and promoting STEM education, and as a school leader, we know that you feel the same way. Today, we are pleased to announce that the 2017-2018 nomination and application cycle for K-6th grade mathematics and science teachers has officially opened. We would like to enlist your help to increase awareness of this prestigious award among teachers of mathematics and science (including computer science) in your area before our April 1, 2018 nomination deadline.

PAEMST, a White House program administered by the National Science Foundation (NSF), is the nation's highest honor for K-12 teachers of mathematics and science (including computer science). Awardees receive a trip to Washington, D.C., a certificate signed by the President, and a $10,000 award from NSF. To be eligible in 2017, teachers must be full-time employees of a school or school district, teach at the K-6th grade level at least fifty percent of the day, and have at least five years of K-12 teaching experience prior to this school year.

You can join us in honoring exceptional teachers by spreading the word about PAEMST to your faculty. Encouraging them to apply and nominate other deserving teachers will help give every talented educator in your district a chance to be considered for recognition. We recommend doing so in the following ways:
