New Common Core Toolkit
A collaboration by Achieve, the Council of Chief State School Officers, and Student Achievement Partners brings together a set of interrelated, freely available tools for evaluating instructional and assessment materials for alignment with the Common Core State Standards. The toolkit supports the evaluation of comprehensive textbook or textbook series, units, lessons, grade- or course-level assessments, item banks, and individual assessment items, and can be applied to both print and digital materials. The kit includes supports for mathematics, language arts, and literacy in the content areas. It may be a bit overwhelming, but the tools are high quality and may be very useful, especially if you are designing benchmark assessments or choosing instructional materials for purchase. The toolkit is available at http://www.achievethecore.org/files/7113/7434/8379/Toolkit_for_Evaluating_the_Alignment_of_Instructional_and_Assessement_Materials_to_the_CCSS.pdf.
