Curriculum Directors,

Please see the message below from Diana Suddreth. We would like to get this information into the hands of as many math teachers as possible.

Subject: Great resource for teachers and parents

Math Coordinators, please share the following with teachers.

Many of the calls we are receiving lately involve parents who are concerned because their students don't have a textbook so they can't get information on what is expected of their students. An application that can help bridge this gap is Educreations. " Educreations is a recordable interactive whiteboard that captures your voice and handwriting to produce amazing video lessons that you can share online. Students and colleagues can replay your lessons in any web browser, or from within our app on their iPads." http://www.educreations.com/faq/ Your Educreations lessons can be a great way to communicate to parents regarding the mathematics you are presenting in your classroom. Although there are many examples available on the website http://www.educreations.com/, the best use of this tool would be to record your own videos or lessons that directly relate to your own classroom. It's kind of like an easy way to set up your own Kahn Academy and make the videos of the quality you desire.
