[Curriculum Directors] Middle School Intervention Convention

Dear Curriculum Directors;
Park City School District, the Utah Middle Level Association, and Utah Schools to Watch are hosting an "intervention Convention" on Friday, August 10, from 8:00-4:00 at Ecker Hill Middle School in Park City.
As you may be doing in your district, many middle schools have been implementing, or thinking of implementing, flex periods for interventions or enrichment. The day is scheduled for teachers and administrators to share what is working, what they are struggling with, and participate in brainstorming ideas to improve programs.
The "Intervention Convention" will have four areas of focus:
1. Scheduling and organizational structures for Interventions/Enrichment Time
2. Meeting the needs of diverse learners in the classroom
3. Meaningful Learning Extensions/Enrichment
4. Reading and math instructional interventions that make a difference
Participants are invited to bring ideas and tools they are using and
be ready to share and brainstorm.
When: Friday, August 10, 2012, 8:00 am- 4:00 pm
Where: Ecker Hill Middle School, 2465 West Kilby Road, Park City
Cost: $20 per person (payable on site)
