Dear Colleague:

We invite your participation in the Effectiveness Project for High Quality Education, a statewide effort of the Utah State Office of Education to define, support, develop, and evaluate effective educator practice throughout the state. The Utah Effective Teaching Standards and the Utah Educational Leadership Standards have been developed by representative groups of Utah educators to serve as descriptions of effective teacher and leader practice. They align with strategies present in the Common Core, current research, and ISLLC and INTASC standards. These standards will be used in Utah to define effective practice for use in educator preparation programs and will guide formative evaluation, professional development planning, and summative evaluation for practicing educators.

You are invited to comment on the standards documents by visiting the links below and completing the accompanying survey by May 12, 2011.
