Dear Curriculum Directors,

=20

As you may know, Myron Cottam has taken a new assignment in a private
school in Escalante and has left the USOE. (He definitely traded "up"
on the commute to SLC, as Escalante is his home.) The position of
Associate Superintendent over Student Achievement and School Success is
now open. I have received some interest from some wonderful people in
the state, and I also wanted to make sure that Curriculum Directors knew
of the opening, as the work is centered on curriculum and your work in
the schools is so fine. =20

=20

The assignment is to provide state leadership for increasing student
achievement through Curriculum, Special Education, Title One, and Career
and Technology Education. If selected, you would work with some fine
educators here at the USOE, including four very astute directors over
each of those areas.

=20

If you are interested, please just email a letter to me expressing your
interest, or send a hard copy letter, and attach a resume. I would need
your letters by April 20. I hope to name a new Associate by early May.
The pay range is around $120,000 with excellent benefits. The new
associate reports directly to me and I would need and welcome your
advice and counsel on many matters.=20

=20

I look forward to hearing from you! =20
