Classworks is a learning system with over 8600 highly successful and
imaginative activities and skill sequences keyed directly to Utah state
standards. The content includes over 180 well-respected titles such as

Math Blaster, JumpStart, and Hyperstudio which are woven into the
student's learning path.

The system creates an individual learning path for each student based
either on Classworks' placement test or based on state CRT test results.
Teachers can also select to teach to specific state standards by
choosing the
standard, finding and applying Classworks' units to some or all
For students below mastery, remediation can begin immediately.

Classworks is highly motivational to students - they love it. Teachers
find the management system flexible and easy to use, and they get the
documentation they need. Administrators are happy that it is a one-time
purchase. It is placed on the school LAN and that they do not have to
count either number of users or computers. Ever!

Models of Use: K-3 Reading (legislative initiative), k-12 Reading,
Language Arts and Math (K-3, K-6, 4-6, 6-8, 9-12 bundles), after school
programs (this is the system chosen by Governor Schwarzenegger for his
Afterschool Allstars), Title I, IDEA, SPED, High School students in need
of remediation for U-PASS.

A special statewide purchasing agreement has been negotiated between
USOE and Classworks for a period of 6 months, until Oct. 31, 2004.
