Utah Registered Apprenticeship Program for Teachers
The Utah Registered Apprenticeship Program for Teachers (U-RAPT) is a new pathway to professional educator licensing. The U-RAPT aims to support those interested in becoming a teacher in Utah through a competency-based program, earn and learn model with on the job learning from a qualified mentor, and compensation of up to $10,000 per year for related instruction costs. The U-RAPT partnerships between the Utah State Board of Education, Utah universities and colleges, and local education agencies serve as the wraparound support for apprentices to earn a bachelor's degree and professional license to teach in Utah public schools.
