Good morning, Utah Gifted and Talented Education Community,
I am writing to explain updates and changes that are happening with email listservs for our Utah Gifted and Talented Education community. We are moving forward with two listservs - one for the community in general, and one for LEA GT Coordinators. I hope that this will clear up some confusion as well as your inbox.
It will most likely take a few days to get all of you sorted and subscribed to the correct list(s). I am asking for your help and patience as we go through this transition process. The two lists are:
utahgt@lists.uen.orgmailto:utahgt@lists.uen.org This list is for sharing information to the Utah GT community in general. If the settings are correct, you should be able to self-subscribe to this list.
gtcoordinators@lists.uen.orgmailto:gtcoordinators@lists.uen.org This list is for LEA GT Coordinators - those who lead out on GT education in Utah districts and charter schools. If the settings are correct, you should be able to request membership to this list, and your request will be sent to moderators for approval.
Notice that I said, "If the settings are correct...," On this April Fools Day, I am not holding my breath that everything will go as smoothly as I would like, but my fingers are crossed!
I believe that everyone who has been subscribed to the single listserv in the past is currently subscribed to both of these lists. I will be working on making changes throughout the day today.
